As part of our ongoing effort to ensure security and stability on all levels of our infrastructure, our networking team will be performing a series of device restarts on our core network.
What we’re doing
We will be updating the IOS images and configuration to provide better stability and IPv6 support as well as potential bug fixes in IOS; the device restart is required for these changes to take affect. The Ashworth Consulting network is designed so that this type of maintenance can be performed without network interruption but may result in slightly increased latency while the networks converge. Expected convergence time will be under one second.
When will this take place?
We will be performing the maintenance over the course of several days between February 7th 2012 and February 10th 2012, between 2am and 4am (EST) each night. San customers should see seamless maintenance but we will have staff on site to resolve any issues that may arise.
As always please feel free to contact us by opening a helpdesk ticket.
